Murdoch University Stan Perron Applied Ethics PhD Scholarships in Law and Criminology
The Stan Perron Charitable Foundation has donated funds to Murdoch University School of Law and Criminology, to provide scholarships to assist and encourage high-achieving students, to commence and pursue a Higher Degree in Research at Murdoch University. The Scholarships have been established in memory of the late Stan Perron, who was recognised as an innovative and ethical leader in business.
Murdoch University School of Law and Criminology is proud of its deep commitment to issues of social justice, ethics, and inclusion. Research activity within the School aligns with Murdoch Universities strategic themes of sustainability, equity, inclusion and diversity and First Nations. Research activities in the School are done in collaboration with industry partners, community groups and organisations.
Two scholarships are available. One to investigate issues relating to applied ethics in business and human rights, this could include for example modern slavery, migrant workers or consumer protection. The second is to investigate issues relating to ethics and digital technologies which could focus on topics related to artificial intelligence, data security and privacy, or cybercrime.
The PhD projects will be primarily based in the School of Law and Criminology; however we welcome projects that are multi-disciplinary which could include Business, IT, Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences.

Eligibility
Applicants must be full time and meet the admission requirements of the required HDR degree to be eligible (first or upper second-class Honours degree, Masters degree by research, or equivalent).
A doctoral project that will focus on issues of applied ethics and human rights and/or digital technology within the disciplines of Law and Criminology, but can include other disciplines such as Business, IT, Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences.How to Apply
