Where your donation goes
As a not-for-profit, 100% of the support we receive from you goes directly to impacting our students and wider community.
We are passionate about sharing the richness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures with the broader university community and embracing strengths-based approaches in everything we do.
Our vision is to build the next generation of First Nations academics, researchers, and professionals. Currently, we support over 370 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, ranging from enabling programs to postgraduate studies and beyond.
Here’s what some of our students and staff have said about the support this funding offers:
Aaron Taylor - Whadjuk, Balladong - Bachelor of Psychology Student

The Kulbardi Scholarships provide a source of stability at home when life can feel stressful at times during study. Easing the financial burden goes a long way to ensuring our successful academic outcomes and ability to stay at university. I wouldn’t be here without them.
Kyanna Hansen - Whadjuk, Balladong, Māori - Bachelor of Laws Student
Receiving support takes off a lot of pressure as a student so I get to focus more on studies and less on working and other obligations. These donations help a lot of Aboriginal students to succeed here at University, and that helps us all!
Grace Wyeth - Yamatji, Nyoongar with Ngarinyin connections - Student Success Advisor, Kulbardi Aboriginal Centre

As a student success advisor, we are always looking for ways to support our students genuinely in the best way possible. Alongside studying financial stresses are definitely a burden that students carry and having Kulbardi as a support system and these opportunities helps alleviate their stresses.
Ashah Tanoa - Whadjuk, Pinjareb, Palkyu - Kulbardi Aboriginal Centre Manager

Supporting Kulbardi is about being a part of something greater than yourself: investing in the next generation, investing in reconciliation and investing into education. From your generous support, these funds will go directly to our students, making it possible for them to focus on their studies.
By supporting First Nations students, you are directly contributing to reconciliation in action - removing systemic barriers, increasing representation in higher education, and fostering a culturally safe and inclusive learning environment.
