Ngala Kwop Biddi Brighter Futures Scholarship

The Ngala Kwop Biddi Brighter Futures Scholarship is the first of its kind in WA and aims to provide exceptional young individuals with opportunities to continue their positive contributions to our world.

The scholarship seeks to acknowledge and support students who have demonstrated proactive and impactful leadership, advocacy and active engagement in endeavours that have led to positive outcomes aligned with one of the University’s three strategic themes: Sustainability; First Nations; and Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.

Valued at $12,000, this scholarship is available to domestic undergraduate students and is paid in semesterly instalments over a three-year period, regardless of the length of their degree. In addition, recipients will have access to leadership and development mentoring throughout their academic journey, supporting their personal growth.

All secondary schools will have the opportunity to nominate up to two Year 12 students. This enables us to award additional deserving students where scholarship funding remains available. Where possible, these additional nominations will be awarded scholarships as part of a second round of offers.

Nominations who meet the eligibility criteria and will be commencing their studies in the following year’s Semester 1 will be accepted between June and October each year. Information on the nomination process and application requirements are contained in the FAQs below.
