Eligibility

To be eligible:

  • Applicants should possess an Honours degree (at least upper second-class Honours) or equivalent
  • Meet standard university criteria for admission to PhD candidature on a full-time basis
  • Scholarship applicants must also include a project outline showing that the project involves “research into mutually advantageous or mutually exploitative relationships between humans and other species of animals.”

Required Documents

Once received the awardee will be required to update the scholarship provider:

  • Thank you letter to donor upon receipt of the Scholarship, outlining your research project and how the scholarship will help you
  • Annual report outlining the progress of research project (max. 1 page)

Payment Method

A stipend of $37k/year, plus $5K/year for project costs is available. The stipend will be paid for 36 months, subject to satisfactory progress. Project costs will be paid for three years only (i.e. a maximum of $15K).
