The Food Innovation Precinct of Western Australia (FIPWA) is a state-of-the-art facility fostering industry innovation to drive business growth, develop new products and exports, and transform Western Australia’s food and beverage manufacturing industry.

Facilities

You can access all the facilities our Perth Campus provides, as well as the facilities specific to our Nambeelup Campus.

Nambeelup Food Centre

The Nambeelup Food Centre is a modern learning facility which include:

  • 30-seat flexible teaching rooms
  • specialist food and sensory evaluation equipped laboratory
  • specialist analytical and microbiology laboratory
  • video and audio-conferencing technology rooms
  • student computer rooms
  • student breakout room and kitchen.

The Sustainable Innovative Food Technologies (SIFT) Centre sits beside the Nambeelup Food Centre.

Help is always available when you’re a Murdoch student. As well as having access to the many services at our Perth Campus, you can also get support and advice without leaving Nambeelup.

Getting here

Getting here is easy as we’re accessible by car and a bus link from Lakelands Train Station. The academic and student community will be based at Murdoch University’s Food Centre, which is part of The Food Innovation Precinct in Nambeelup in WA, close to Mandurah and about 40 minutes-drive from the main campus in South St, Murdoch.

The Murdoch University Food Centre is 15 minutes-drive from Mandurah, WA’s largest regional city situated near beaches and an estuary twice the size of Sydney Harbour.

Free parking is provided. However, you'll need to display a permit and some bays are reserved.
