Services for off campus students

The Library offers a wide range of resources and services to support your studies no matter where you are.

External students

As an external student at Murdoch University, use the following resources and services when studying externally:

• Library Search  
• My Unit Readings
• Requesting items from other libraries
• Digitisation of print items from our collection (book chapters or journal articles) if unavailable via the services above. Submit a request
  

External Honours, Masters or Doctoral students living outside the metropolitan Perth area can have print items from our collection sent by post. You are responsible for return postage costs. There are a few exclusions to this service, including High Demand, Special Collections and Relaxing Reads items.

If you are able to visit one of our libraries in person, you can borrow from our print collection, including High Demand, Special Collections and Relaxing Reads - check borrowing limits or request a Murdoch Student card.

If you live in Australia or New Zealand, you may be able to join other university libraries through ULANZ.

Open Universities Australia (OUA) students

As an OUA student, use the following resources to enable study from off campus:

• My Unit Readings
• Requesting items from other libraries  
• Digitisation of print items from our collection (book chapters or journal articles) if unavailable via the services above. Submit a request
  

In person, OUA Students can:

• Borrow from our print collection - check borrowing limits or request a Murdoch Student card
• request print items for collection from any of our campus libraries using our click and collect service
• use our on-campus print collections, study spaces or facilities.

Transnational students

As a student with our Dubai or Singapore partner institutions, take advantage of our extensive range of online resources and services:

• Digitisation of print items from our collection (book chapters or journal articles) if unavailable via the services above. Submit a request

A very small number of online resources are unavailable outside Australia. You will see the following message: "Sorry, you do not have access to this resource. If you require help, please contact us".  Although we are unable to post books overseas, if you are in Singapore or Dubai you can visit local on campus libraries or local libraries in person.
