Purpose

The Card widget is used to guide users to other sections of your site that might be of interest

When

Use to provide eye-catching navigation links to relevant content across your site

How to use

  • Edit
  • Add
  • Delete
  1. Click the  Edit icon at the top right of the widget 
  2. The Card will open edit mode and you will be able to update your content
  3. Refer to the Sitefinity website for detailed instructions on editing Cards
  4. For information about selecting different card layouts (template options) please see further down in the this page.
  5. Save and preview once you have updated all fields.
  1. The Card widget can be found in the Content section of the widgets toolbox.
  2. The Card widget typiclaly needs to be used in a three-column layout. Refer to the Content Layouts section of the site for further information.
  3. If the layout is already available on the page, click and drag the Card widget onto the appropriate editable area of the page and then follow the instructions for Editing
  1. Click More at the top right of the widget
  2. Select Delete

Variants

Navigation Card

To use:

  • While editing the card, select Navigation Card from the Template dropdown

Themes:

  • The navigation card is only intended for use with the White (default) theme

This is the most commonly used version of the card and can be used on content and landing pages to guide users to other pages of your site.

Grid Content Card

To use:

  • While editing the card, select Grid Content Card from the Template dropdown

Themes:

  • While editing the card, select the preferred colour scheme from the Theme dropdown

This is a grid content card

The Grid content card is specifically design to be placed in a 'grid' of content cards

These cards work best when placed in a row of three inside a "row" container. (This card is using the light grey theme).

Which will ensure that all the cards in the that row display at the same height no matter how much the length of the content varies

Content Tile

To use:

  • While editing the card, select Content Tile from the Template dropdown

Themes:

  • While editing the card, select the preferred colour scheme from the Theme dropdown
This is a content tile

The content tile is a more visual stiking variant of the card widget and is designed mainly for use on landing pages

Feature Image Card

To use:

  • While editing the card, select Feature Image Card from the Template dropdown

Themes (not available):

  • The Feature Image Card will only display with a black background, regardless of any option selection in Theme dropdown

Feature Text Card

To use:

  • While editing the card, select Feature Text Card from the Template dropdown

The feature text card is intended for short text (with no image) and is mainly for use on landing pages
