There are several methods for uploading images, and for most content editing purposes images do not need to be uploaded in advance. However, below is the process for uploading an image (or multiple images) directly to your site's image library. Your uploaded images can then be added to your pages using a variety of widgets, including the Image Widget and Content Block widget.

How to upload an image:

  1. First ensure all images are optimised and correctly resized;
  2. Log into Sitefinity, navigate to Content > Images and select the correct library;
  3. Click the green Upload images button (near the top right);
  4. You can drag and drop images into the upload window or select Upload images from your computer and navigate to your image folder;
  5. Add alternative text for the image (this should concisely describe the visual content of the image for people using screen readers);
  6. Add the appopriate Tag (describing how the image is used) and Category (describing where the imageis used);
  7. Click Use selected and your image will be uploaded and published.
