Get ready to celebrate!

Congratulations, you've finished! Get ready to celebrate your success with friends and fellow graduands at a graduation ceremony.

When you can attend a ceremony

Ceremonies are held at different times throughout the year in Perth, Singapore. The ceremony you attend depends on when your final results are released. You also have the option to not attend a ceremony or defer your attendance.

Confirm your attendance

If you want to attend a graduation ceremony in Perth or Dubai, you must pay the ceremony fee and confirm your attendance in MyInfo. Please note that your attendance is not confirmed until you have made payment of the Ceremony Fee. You will be notified by email when the ceremony portal is open for you to complete this process.

Graduands and guests who attend a Murdoch University Graduation Ceremony should be aware that the ceremony will be live streamed. Your registration to this ceremony is your consent to be filmed. Images and/or video taken may be used for promotional and marketing purposes. If you do not wish to be on the live stream or have your image taken, it is recommended that you should select to graduate in absentia (receive your graduation package by post).

Pronunciation of your name

To ensure your name is pronounced correctly during the ceremony, advise the Completion and Graduations Office of the correct pronunciation at least two weeks before.

Late attendance confirmation

You can confirm your attendance after the deadline and up to two weeks before the ceremony for a AUD$50 late fee. Your name might not be in the printed program.

Late inclusions within two weeks of the ceremony are only considered in extenuating circumstances. You will incur a late fee of AUD$150 and you might be seated apart from fellow graduates.

Cancelling your attendance

If you confirmed your attendance and then can’t attend, contact the Completion and Graduations Office.

Refunds can be provided for ceremony fee with regalia hire, less an administration fee of AUD$30. You won’t be eligible for a refund if you don’t advise of your inability to attend. Guest tickets and the ceremony fee for regalia purchase are non-refundable.

If you are unable to attend, ceremonies will be available to watch via livestream.

Organise your regalia and tickets

Once you have confirmed your attendance, information regarding your ceremony will be provided via text message and email, including any updates on venue or time changes.

You must wear the complete Murdoch University academic regalia for the award you are receiving, or the regalia for previous awards.
