Students learn how to design and develop strategies for digital communication campaigns using a range of digital media, including social media, websites, mobile technology, games, video, and online news media.
Leadership of the digital space
Students will learn all about conveying information and ideas using platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, Snapchat and YouTube, harness powerful search engines such as Google and Yahoo, and use well-designed websites and blogs to deliver creatively planned strategic outcomes for organisations.
You will learn the core communication areas of social media strategy, search engine optimisation, digital content strategy and web analytics. You’ll learn how digital communication works in business, society and the political realm while learning how to plan social media and online communication campaigns for different target audiences.
What to expect when you study Digital Communication
You will develop your knowledge in digital communication strategy, using online platforms (such as websites and social media) and data analysis so that you can maximise your opportunities and reach in this continually changing professional landscape.
You will work as part of our on-campus student creative consultancy, MESH. You will work as a MESH consultant on real campaigns as you build a wide range of skills for professional communication in the digital age, including creating and producing content, managing social media and developing online communication strategies.
