The School of Media and Communication is active in the community enjoying strong working relationships with industry partners from all sectors in Perth, nationally and internationally.
Many of our academics are industry professionals working on projects across all areas of creative media and communication including screen production, strategic communication, journalism, graphic design and design thinking, global media and communication, photography, games art and sound.
Our award-winning student and academic consultancy MESH provides students from 1st-year undergraduate to postgraduate with opportunities to work on real-world client projects and develop a live portfolio of work.
Every year, we showcase our student work at the Murdoch Creative Media Showcase. Produced by our third-year Graphic Design students, the showcase highlights the depth of work across our disciplines, culminating in our yearly prize ceremony, where we celebrate our amazing students.
Our third-year undergraduate journalism students studying in Perth and Singapore produce our independent news website, the QUENDA, through our real-world learning newsroom experience.
