Course overview
OnTrack Sprint is an intensive four-week enabling course that can qualify you for direct entry into Murdoch University undergraduate degrees with a Selection Rank requirement of 70 or below*.
*Please note this course is not a guaranteed pathway into the Bachelor of Nursing.
The course provides an adult learning environment in which you can:
- Develop effective study habits and learning strategies for university success
- Build the academic skills and confidence needed for undergraduate study
- Engage in university-style tutorials and complete academic assignments
- Establish a strong network of peer and academic support at Murdoch University
- Build confidence and your independent learning skills to prepare for undergraduate degree study at Murdoch.
Ontrack Sprint runs in January (Trimester 1) each year. To be eligible you must have completed Year 12 in the past 18 months.
This program is open to Australian or New Zealand citizens or permanent residents, as well as people who have arrived in Australia under a humanitarian or a refugee visa.
Course dates and times
4 January- 29 January 2027Students attend face-to-face classes Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm, for the duration of the program.
Course fees
This program is free for eligible domestic students, including Australian and New Zealand citizens, Australian permanent residents, and people who have arrived in Australia on humanitarian or refugee visas.

Admission requirements
To be eligible for OnTrack Sprint, you must have completed Year 12 within the last 18 months and be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, an Australian permanent resident, or hold a humanitarian or refugee visa.
You must also meet one of the following criteria:
- Achieved an ATAR Selection Rank between 60 and 69.95.
- Achieved an average of A or B grades in General Year 12 subjects.
- Performed well in two or three Year 12 subjects but did not complete a full ATAR program and are unable to apply through the Portfolio pathway because: the course is not available through Portfolio; or your subjects are not related to your intended course of study.
- Demonstrated strong academic potential but experienced disruption during Year 12, with a recommendation from your school.
- Previously completed TLC Learning for Tomorrow or FlexiTrack High unsuccessfully and have approval from the Academic Chair to enrol.
English Requirements
You must meet a minimum standard in English to study at Murdoch, which for most courses can be demonstrated by providing evidence that you have completed Year 11 and 12 in Australia at any level if you are a domestic student, or through either English proficiency tests, university preparation courses, English language courses, previous tertiary study or vocational education.
