Our team

Dr Burke is a local graduate with thirty years experience in general practice. In this time he has done a bit of everything, including ten years of remote and rural medicine in the north-west of Western Australia. Dr Burke has special interests in travel medicine, occupational health, and men's sexual health.

Dr Whitaker is a locally trained general practitioner with extensive experience in family and women’s health in particular, which she combines with her work at King Edward Memorial Hospital for Women.

Dr Ann Chow is an experienced general practitioner with a broad base of knowledge and a special interest in womens health.

Dr Haque is a graduate of James Cook University in Queensland and has been working in Western Australia since her internship at Fremantle Hospital in 2010. With a special interest in Aboriginal health, Dr Haque recently spent two years working in Broome Regional Aboriginal Medical Service (BRAMS). Working as part of a team of Aboriginal Health Workers and other health professionals in delivering primary care to Aboriginal communities in the local area, it was here she increased her knowledge and understanding of the importance of delivering culturally appropriate, patient- centred care.

Sarah is a local graduate with experience working locally, interstate, and internationally, including remote area nursing in Aboriginal communities in the Northern Territory and humanitarian aid in developing countries with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF).

Leith has worked as a registered nurse for 28 years. After completing her graduate year at Fremantle Hospital she moved to Kalgoorlie to work as an occupational health nurse during the mining boom.

Zhelan moved to Perth in 2009 and completed her nursing degree here. She has worked in various clinical settings across WA since graduating in 2011, spending the majority of her time in general practice.

Sue Commenced working at the Medical Service in July 2019. Sue has a broad and varied background in the medical field specialising in general practice and occupational health. Sue has enjoyed working in remote locations throughout Western Australia gaining valuable experience in diverse communities and service delivery.

Ashley commenced working as an administrative officer for Murdoch University Medical Service in May 2016. Ashley has a wealth of experience in medical administration, including practice management for a busy occupational medicine centre in the Perth metro area, as well as regional work in general practice in Broome.

Jackie Commenced working with the Murdoch University Medical Service in May 2020. As well as working in the Medical Service Jackie works in the Chiropractic Student Clinic where she has been working for nearly 10 years.

Jess is an experienced medical administrator with over 10 years’ experience in the health field as well as in the university sector.
